Spring '13 Beauty Routine!

Happy Spring!

I have been away from my blog for a considerable amount of time.  New job, new house - minimal spare time.  Since the weather warmed up I have made many new purchases that I am very excited to share!  Clothes, shoes,  make-up, nail polish, etc.

The clothes and make-up blogs will come later once I can get some good pictures of how everything actually looks on me.

Updated  Shower Routine:

When it comes to shower-time, some things have remained the same.  Clear Hair & Scalp Therapy shampoo and Cetaphil antibacterial soap.

Dove Heat Defense Conditioner (seen below).  I love to use this conditioner with my Clear Hair & Scalp Therapy shampoo.  In my new job I wear my hair down practically all the time which means constant straightening.  This is part of my line of defense against heat damage.

Garnier Flat-Iron Perfector - Heat protecting spray.  This is not "shower routine" but it fits with the prevention of heat damage theme.  I spray this on liberally after blow-drying, then typically do my make-up so it can "soak in."  It doesn't say on the bottle that you need to wait before straightening, but I feel like I get better results when I do.  Also, it says it is a 24 hour straightening mist - and that is pretty accurate.

Neutrogena Pore Refining Daily Cleanser.   I don't know what it is lately, but my pores are comparable to moon craters.  I bought this item on a whim and love it so far!  The only con is because it is an alpha/beta-hydroxy, it increases your skins sensitivity to the sun.  You MUST wear SPF on your face anytime you go outside when using this or you will burn to a crisp.

Okay. So.. It's time to go a place that I was hesitant to go with this blog.  However, I feel that I may not be the only woman on the world with this problem and therefore I should unashamedly share my solution.

Spring/Summer = Bathing suits =  Woman-scaping = Razor bumps.   Biggest pain in the butt.  The below product can only be ordered from http://www.surpriseparties.com. The product is called "Nude - The Ultimate Body Shave."   It is the consistency of conditioner but contains ingredients that prevent razor bumps.  You use it as shaving cream.  It works wonders.  OH! Also, if you have thick curly hair - apparently it makes a great conditioner that can be paired with any shampoo. I have not tried it this way because my hair is super fine and thin and I feel it would make it look too greasy.
