L'Essentials - Part One

Good afternoon lovelies,

This blog is the first of three installments on what I consider to be my personal essentials.  I briefly mentioned in "The Genesis" about how the key to an affordable wardrobe is versatility.  You can stretch your paycheck further if you have more pieces that can be used with multiple outfits in multiple seasons.

Fashion Essentials Overview:
  1. Cardigans
  2. Skinny Jeans
  3. Boots
  4. Flats
  5. "Simply chic" necklaces
Fashion Essentials Breakdown:

Cardigans!! Below are two of my favorites.

Navy & white striped cropped cardigan. $5 on sale at Rue 21

Gray cardigan. $15 Gap Outlet

Skinny Jeans. Doesn't get more basic than this.  This pair is from American Eagle. I have found that theirs fit me the best because they are very stretchy and I can find them that fit through the hips and don't gap at my waist.

American Eagle Skinny Stretch. $26 during jean sale.

Boots.  Riding boots are very "in" for Fall 2012, so I splurged and bought a new pair. The other two are my old stand-bys.

Amazon Riding Boots $40

Payless $20

Belk $70

Flats. I honestly own two pair of flats. One of which I bought in 2007 for $25 at Target and they are still holding up. I have only included the picture of my newest pair I got from Nine West.

Nine West $35

"Simply Chic" Necklaces. I probably have 20 necklaces, all of which are rather versatile. I have included pictures of the ones I wear the most often. The colors are kind of off so I will include the true colors next to the images.

Silver long hearts necklace. $10 at Rue 21.
Gold w/ pink pearls and roses double-wrapped necklace. $10 Charlotte Russe.

Silver bow pendant necklace. (Price unknown, it was a gift from my boyfriend).
